Acting Coach Berlin
I grew up in Berlin and spent most of my adult and work life in the US. I work both in English and German!
I have worked and made a living as a professional actor in the US since 1994. I trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City for 2 years and started working in Film, Theatre and TV right after that both in New York and in Los Angeles to this day.
Throughout my career I worked with great coaches that were trained in the Method Acting approach, often influenced by Sanford Meisner which I found useful for auditions. The best coaches I found had cobbled together their own method and tailored it to the situation and actor.
Recently I have prepared the 5 lead actors for a film for Amazon Studios. I also work with actors currently on TV series and movies.

My rates depend on the situation. I can prep actors for auditions, I can do self-tapes (e-Castings), I can come to the actor or they can come to my studio. I can coach on set as well and help you prep in your trailer.

My Approach
My goal is to help you bring your authentic self into your performance so you can be uniquely you and be truthful in the imaginary circumstances. I don’t interfere with directors, I prep you to be flexible so you are confident in taking direction and adjustments even under pressure. I work the same way for auditions or for a role you already have.
I started coaching friends for auditions in the early 2000s in Los Angeles and I have been coached by friends and professionals. I have worked with many great actors in the US and was initially shocked to see that even the famous ones (or maybe especially?) worked with their own coach, either on set or in their preparation. This quickly started to make a lot of sense as you can get overwhelmed with technicalities in smaller roles and yo can get stale in bigger roles very quickly. An outside eye that is focused on your character will always help you make your role more unique and interesting.
I noticed that in Germany very few actors use coaches and I also saw the tone and style of many productions has been influenced by the tone of dubbed foreign content (Synchron) so I saw an opportunity there. I was initially asked to coach by a writer/producer who didn’t want bad acting in their film. I have since coached regularly based on word of mouth. I find it particularly useful to coach actors in guest roles as that is a much bigger challenge than an ongoing lead role, you don’t have time to find your character.
